The Red Kite Ronde et Vous

The Red Kite Ronde et Vous

The Red Kite Ronde et Vous is our fist-ever event. It is a gravel event with a custom bike party. We will do two days of gravel rides in Sonoma County, the first tracing the Old Caz route from the Grasshopper Adventure Series and the second rolling through fire roads of Trione-Annadel State Park. You’ll see some of the prettiest vistas in Northern California and drink local beers that are famous the world over.

Dates: October 12-14 , 2018

We want to emphasize that these are rides and not races. We accept that some will want to go hard and knock them out as quickly as possible, but we want to emphasize safety and the complete lack of a prize list. There will be shortcuts for those tapped on endurance or time.

On Friday evening and Saturday afternoon/evening we will hang out at the Astro Motel and check out bikes from a number of custom builders. Our current commitments include Black Cat Bicycles, Sycip Designs, Retrotec/Inglis Cycles, Hampsten Cycles, Dinucci Cycles, Argonaut Cycles, Co-Motion Cycles and Pursuit by Carl Strong.

What comes with your registration
• Two guided rides
• Dinner Friday, with beer
• Breakfast Saturday morning
• Fuel for the rides courtesy GU Energy
• Dinner Satruday, with beer
• Breakfast Sunday morning

We’re going to have a few special guests, but you’ll have to either register or wait to find out just who they are.

We want this to be an intimate event with plenty of time to visit with builders and friends, so we are limiting the number of participants to 200. Currently, rooms at the Astro are being held for exhibitors; once we have given exhibitors a chance to book them, then the remainder will be released for attendees. There are plenty of accommodations nearby for anyone looking to do this on a budget.

A portion of proceeds will go to support high school mountain bike racing in Sonoma County.

P.S. The price goes up August 1.
